Application Submission Guidelines

Documents required:

1. Completed application forms (download www.kasf.org)
2. Official transcripts of last two years in own sealed envelopes. GPA must be above 3.2.
3. Two downloaded and completed recommendation forms in own sealed and signed envelopes (No personal recommendation letters from writers – Use forms only)
4. One clear passport-size photo taken within last two years. One stamped return envelope
5. An essay on the subject required (No more than 450 words! Every word counted)
6. A copy of FAFSA /SAR report, most current parents’, guardians’ or students’ U.S. or Korea income tax file -1040 and Schedule A ONLY. We will request other documents if needed.
7. VERY accurate financial statements (incomes/ expenses), detailed leadership roles, special talents, awards and extracurricular activities of applicants listed and explained in the form
8. ALL materials must be submitted TOGETHER in one PACKET (large envelope) by 1st CLASS mail only by the deadline. You must prepare early for the materials coming from overseas.
9. Any additional explanations requested in the form must be very brief and concise.
10. An incomplete application will not be reviewed and will not be returned.

Qualification and amount:

      U.S. citizens, immigrants and F-1 students with Korean heritage can apply. $1000.00 (or higher
      for a few) for undergraduate, graduate, professional students, and $500.00 for HS juniors.
      Students awarded twice by KASF will be excluded .
